- Actually, it's easy with Windows 95:

- Control Panel --> Modems --> Properties --> Connection --> Advanced

- Add "L3" (don't add "AT") to the "Extra Settings".

- If you want your modem to always be loud, save it to the default.

- While talking to the modem (using Terminal or some software that can
- communicate directly with the modem), type: "AT &W0". This will save
- your current configuration to user profile 0.
