  26. Actually, it's easy with Windows 95:

  28. Control Panel --> Modems --> Properties --> Connection --> Advanced
  29.  
  30. Add "L3" (don't add "AT") to the "Extra Settings".

  32. If you want your modem to always be loud, save it to the default.

  34. While talking to the modem (using Terminal or some software that can
  35. communicate directly with the modem), type: "AT &W0".  This will save
  36. your current configuration to user profile 0.
